Srujan is an event with a series of workshops designed for researchers, postgraduate and undergraduate students, and technology professionals.
One such workshop conducted at SCEI was a One-Day 3D Printing Workshop. This covered the basics of 3D Printing, 3D Scanning & related topics with engaging hands-on sessions.
Around 50 students attended the workshop. The workshop took the participants through the cycle of processes starting from Scanning or Designing an object to creating their own 3D printing design. Moreover, they were also taught about the technical details of all the stages.

The take-away for the participants was a high-level overview of 3D Printing and the right amount of technical aspects to get started with 3D Printing. And each participant got their 3D models designed there itself.

The response from the participating students was extremely positive. Every one was spontaneously and enthusiastically working on their individual 3D designs. Students had a great experience during this hands-on workshop since they were able to create their own 3D printing models by the end. Moreover, they also asked us to arrange similar workshops frequently as it gave them practical knowledge and hands-on experience of 3D Printing.
